ALASKAN STOP #41LAKEVIEW CAMPGROUNDTETLIN NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGEOUTSIDE OF NORTHWAY, AK |
With such a short travel day today we didn't leave our campsite until nearly 11:00AM this morning, that's very late for us!
Just outside of Tok the fall colors were really showing in all their splendor. You don't get the reds and orange colors like you do in the Lower 48, but the yellows and greens complement each other and make for a pleasing photo.

I felt it was fitting to finish our Alaska visit the same way we started it (exactly 100 nights ago) by camping for FREE inside the Refuge.

For the life of me I can't figure out why this place is called Lakeview Campground! ๐
That's Yarger Lake just a few short yards down the trail from our campsite.
As you can see we once again timed our arrival perfectly and were able to select the best campsite in the entire campground. I love it when a plan comes together!
Now if we could just get a peek of those "Northern Lights" everbody is talking about.
