Next move we will be exiting the Florida Keys after nearly a four week visit

There are several notable stops on this section of US1, none of which we did today, but we have visited all of these on previous trips to the Florida Keys.

At MM 77.5 on the bayside you'll find Robbie's. This is a favorite of ours because of all the activities they have here. First and foremost is the tarpon feeding off the docks in their marina, something everyone should do at least once. There are motor boat and kayak rentals, a ferry boat that takes you over to Indian Key Historic State Park for some snorkeling and exploring. For the icing on the cake they have the Hungry Tarpon Restaurant with really good food and cold drinks. Of course there are plenty of souvenirs to be had in multiple booths around the parking area. NOTE: Parking is very limited so get there early or be prepared to walk.

At MM 82 on the bayside you find the Lorelei Restaurant and Cabana Bar, a favorite of ours, so much so it's where we held our wedding in 2011. With great food and drinks, live music almost every night and within walking distance of the La Jolla Resort, a quaint little 1950's style resort, we've been here several times. Also for the best breakfast in town visit Mangrove Mike's Cafe right next door.

At MM 86.7 on the bayside you find The Rain Barrel Artisan Village, it's hard to miss with a 40 foot long lobster out front named Betsy. While the big lobster may get you off the road for a photo opportunity, it's the little village of shops behind the main gift shop that is why we stop here to check out all of the hand made crafts and pottery.
