A FREE OVERNIGHT AT A TEXAS WALMART (TX)

MONDAY - We had a looooong travel day today, 309-miles before we finally parked for the night.

The last time we had a 300+ mile travel day was in May of 2022 when we were scrambling through Canada on our way to Alaska. How do I know that? I looked it up in all that data we have laying around, that's how!

As a matter of fact we had five back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back 300+ mile travel days and they were all between 348 and 375 miles each day.

I'm not sure if I want to try doing that again anytime soon!

Just like the driving days in Canada, today was not a very interesting drive.

Sure, every once in a while the road would have a few curves in it...

...and then when we were 50-miles from the nearest town we passed at least a dozen cyclists
on the road and not one of them appeared to be under 40 years of age.
Additionally, it was 85°F today with a 25-30MPH wind in their faces.

Then it was back to the same old scenery as we had before.

We eventually made it to the city of San Angelo, TX where we were unsuccessful in trying to find a place to park ROVER and THE POD in the packed H-E-B Grocery Store parking lot.

H-E-B is our favorite grocery chain when we're in Texas, much like Publix is when we're back on the east coast.

Directly across the street is the Walmart Supercenter where we'll spend the night and fill up with gasoline in the morning. We always try to patronize the store for letting us spend the night for FREE and tonight cost us $155 in groceries.
