TALLULAH GORGE KAYAKING

Location:
Tallulah Gorge State Park
Tallulah Falls, GA

HERE ARE THE VIDEOS I PROMISED

There seemed to be two different "lines of attack"
when it came to deciding the best way to attempt going over Oceana Falls.

WE NICKNAMED THIS THE "DAREDEVIL APPROACH"

In video #1 the kayaker approaches from the right center of the falls, skids down a slick rock area into a large wall of water, gets pushed out to the left and into another wall of water, and is then finally ejected out into the calmer waters on the near left side below the falls.

WE NICKNAMED THIS THE "HEAD ON APPROACH"

In video #2 the kayaker approaches from the near left side of the falls, travels down a manageable set of rapids, then goes head on into a wall of water, before finally getting ejected out into the calmer waters below the falls.

WE NICKNAMED THIS THE "HANDS ON APPROACH"

In video #3 the kayaker once again approaches from the near left side of the falls, the only difference is he decides to forego the use of a traditional paddle and instead uses only an oversized set of gloves.

WE NICKNAMED THIS THE "SMOOTHER APPROACH"

In video #4 the duo again approaches from the near left side of the falls, their mode of transportation is an inflatable raft. We saw several rafts go over the falls today, all down the left side, and everyone of them seemed to have had a much smoother ride.

HOPE YOU ENJOYED THE VIDEOS
