As happy as we were to visit with everyone over the last few weeks, we're just as happy to be back on the road and resuming our nomadic lifestyle.
What better way to do that than spending a night at Walmart, just kidding!
We are in an area of Florida known as "The Big Bend Region". It's where both Hurricane Helena (Cat.4) and two weeks later Hurricane Milton (Cat.5) struck the Florida coast. But let's also not forget the early season Hurricane Debby (Cat.1) also struck the coast in the very same region.
We haven't seen any widespread destruction so far along our route, but we've been traveling about 10-20 miles inland along the US19/US98 corridor. There's a lot of swampland between our route and the coast, but later tomorrow that'll change as we make our way further north and then west along the coast.
How about our State by State Bucket Lists or Visited Campgrounds List?
